A Night of Influence: Global Affairs Elevates Grammy Weekend With Purpose-Driven Gala and Red Carpet
Industry leaders, cultural powerhouses and advocates gathered Jan. 31 in Beverly Hills to champion criminal justice reform and celebrate global changemakers.
As Los Angeles buzzed ahead of the Grammy Awards, Global Affairs carved out its own defining moment with an exclusive pre-Grammy gala and red carpet experience centered on impact. The third annual celebration, presented in partnership with Godfather Entertainment and All We Do Is Work, unfolded Jan. 31, 2026, bringing together leaders from entertainment, business, philanthropy and public service.

Hosted at Gravitas Beverly Hills, the invitation-only black-tie affair blended high-level networking with a clear social mission: generating support for criminal justice reform initiatives focused on prevention, education, workforce development and policy advancement.
Executive producers Dasia Harris and RJ Lewis emphasized the intention behind the evening, describing it as a curated, people-centered platform designed to honor influential figures while mobilizing tangible resources for meaningful causes, according to a statement released by publicist Yvette Morales.
The program spotlighted individuals whose work resonates far beyond their industries. Honorees included:
Alice Johnson — Global Criminal Justice Reform Award

Swizz Beatz — Global Musical Impact Award

Mona Scott-Young — Global Cultural Icon Award

Michael K. Obeng — Global Humanitarian Award
Imene Meziane — Global Advocate Award

Larrance Dopson — Global Cultural Shifter Award

In addition to its marquee award presentations, the evening featured a Community Spotlight segment recognizing leaders advancing critical work at the grassroots level. Those highlighted included Chrissy Dawson, Brittany Porgia, Adrienne Nicole Edwards, Judge Songhai Armstead, Elisabeth Weinstock and Catina M. Johnson — individuals whose service and advocacy continue to drive change within their respective communities.

The event builds on the momentum of last year’s gathering at the Goldstein Residence, where funds were raised to support wildfire victims, Los Angeles firefighters and first responders, orphans, and the Disabled Firefighters Fund and firefighters’ widows. That celebration featured performances and appearances by Chanté Moore, V. Bozeman, Kenyon Dixon, D. Smoke, Gambo and Jay Park.

With each year, Global Affairs continues to expand its footprint as a cross-sector convening force during Grammy weekend — a space where culture, capital and conscience intersect. More than a glamorous prelude to music’s biggest night, the gala has evolved into a strategic platform for honoring legacy, uplifting community leadership and advancing reform through collective influence.
